Message from the Principal
“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” – 1 Corinthians 13:13(NIV)
This is my 13th year working at Kei Faat Kindergarten. It is a great blessing for me to become the principal and to work together with our team of educators and parents in nurturing their children. Kei Faat is a school built on the foundation of Christ’s mission and is always filled with laughter. At the core of our teaching is love, and we would like to work with all parents in tenderly guiding their children’s joyful learning and growth.
“They must do something useful with their own hands. Then they will have something to give to people in need.” – Ephesians 4:28b(NIRV)
“Learning by doing” is our educational philosophy. The best type of education is through hands-on work. Knowledge is acquired through what we do. Even if we make mistakes, we can gain valuable experiences, and thus truly learned the lesson.
And now, some words from our principal:
There is one thing I would like to invite every one of you to do: starting from the first day of school, do everything by yourself, and try your best.
There are two things I would like to invite you to do:
1. Learn to wait. Lovingly and patiently wait for your children to finish their own tasks. Children need time to learn.
Even when they are slow, please wait patiently, and encourage them with kind words. This way, the seeds of love and
acceptance will be planted in their hearts.
2. Learn to listen. When your children wish to speak with you, please put down your work and chores, sit down, and listen to them. This way, the seeds of love and respect will be planted in their lives.
